DIY Ideas for Dad!
It’s time to let pops know how much the whole family appreciates him. A card is a good start, but why not give him something fun and homemade for Father’s Day?
Snack Attack
Being the best dad in the world builds up an appetite, so get him something to snack on. Foodtown Peanuts in a mason jar will be cute with a bow and a sign that reads “We’re nuts about you, Dad!”
Address a bucket of popcorn, kettle corn, or caramel corn “To the best Pop in the world” for another tasty treat.
Is dad the designated grill master? How about a gift basket of BBQ sauces or spice rubs for him to experiment with for the next cookout? These would go great on a thick and juicy Rancher’s Legend Ribeye Steak.
Family Fun
Decorate an empty tin can or jar with paint, fabric, or string as a pen holder for dad’s desk. You can even give it an outfit just like his!
Or think up a list of fun activities the family can do together and write them all down on painted popsicle sticks. Let dad pull one out of the can whenever he wants some family fun. The sticks from Green Way Natural Fruit Bars are the perfect size!
Sweet Treats
Make dad’s favorite candy bar into a sweet reminder that he’s a hero! Use this tutorial and template from I Heart Crafty Things, to make a face, cape and “Super Dad” badge. The kids can write down their favorite things about dad to personalize their gift.
Or combine two gifts in one! Pick up a set of coffee mugs that feature his favorite sports team, movie, or band. Fill each mug with a mini cake mix that he can whip up in the microwave for an easy, gooey treat.
